Well, the day has FINALLY arrived where Mattie lost her first tooth! This past whole school year she has been wiggling her teeth to try to get one to come out! Being almost 7 1/2 years old, she is pretty late for losing her first tooth. Her first grade teacher had a big tooth poster in the class room and whenever one of the students lost a tooth, their names would be written on this tooth poster. Mattie really wanted her name to be on that poster before the end of the year, but it just never happened! Poor thing! She was SO excited when it happened! She was playing outside and came to the door holding her little tooth in her hand with a HUGE smile on her face! I bought her a white little glass canister that is in the shape of a tooth for when this happened. So, that night she put her tooth in it and wrote a note to the tooth fairy. It said, "Could you please leave me five dollars for this tooth?" So OF COURSE she got her five dollars. How cute is that! The last couple days she has been carrying the tooth in the little glass case with her where ever she goes. It's so cute to see her smile with a little missing space in her teeth!
