Little Scooter

Our little guy is almost 8 months now! The time has come where he can start to get around. He officially scoots now! It's kind of like an awkward combat crawl, but he gets what he wants.
He is in 12-18 month clothes and seems to be getting heavier by the day! Mattie woke up one morning and thought that his cheeks got chubbier overnight.....it may have actually happened. He is still our tub of love, our chunkers, our chunky little monkey and such a sweet boy.
He is SO excited to be able to independently get around in his walker. Boy can he maneuver that thing! He can now reach the dishwasher and shake the plates as I load them, he can reach the kitchen drawers to open and close them, he tries to open the cabinets....good thing the walker won't let him open them all the way or they may be emptied daily! His little legs go to town when he really gets going! He ran into our coffee table and knocked it down the stairs! Good thing Mattie was able to hold onto it before it went all the way down! He is very strong and solid, yet very chubby at the same time! We all love his chubby little hands, arms, thighs and of course his kissable chubby cheeks!Yesterday he woke up from his nap and we found him like this......He has learned how to pull himself up to standing in his crib! He was so proud of himself!

He is STILL not sleeping through the night! Lately he is only waking up once or twice, but it seems to take an hour to get him back to sleep! Someday we WILL get a full night's sleep....someday. A few days ago he was sleeping in and didn't want to wake up! That is pretty unusual for him (although he has been fighting a cold/cough) Jess went up to wake him and found him like this....He didn't even wake up when the camera flashed! So cute!

He can say da da da and has his own little baby talk going on.
He is very smart. I did my nails yesterday in a dark brown color. I usually don't have color on my nails b/c it chips so easily and my hands are always in the water etc... Well, Dylan was on my lap and he grabbed my hand and started touching and playing with my nails. He noticed that they were a different color and couldn't quite figure it out.

He is such a love and a joy to have in our family. We are so thankful for his little life. He is so happy and always seems to have a constant smile on his face! Such a blessing! We love you little man!
