What a time we had with Grammie and Opa! It was such an awesome week! The kids did great and really bonded with them. The baby got used to them super fast and had lots of bonding time too. Opa fed him his bottle very often and Grammie liked to give him his bath and feed him his "real" food in his high chair. There was lots of cuddling, playing & bouncing time too.
They also did lots with the girls! They took them to the movies, the girls got their nails done, they took them to Old Navy and bought them a new outfit, went on a hike on some beautiful nature trails, rented three movies from Blockbuster, etc... One day while Grammie and Mommy were shopping, Opa and Daddy stayed home and played outside with the kiddos. Opa was riding bikes with the girls, pushing Morgan on the swing & playing tag with Morgan. I think Morgan tired him out!
In the mornings, the girls would wake them up (as long as it was after 7:15). Grammie and Opa would tickle them and Opa would play the"Mr. Leg" game with them. They would come in our room every morning and wait until 7:15 so they could go play Mr. Leg before school!
They even babysat for Jess and I so we could go on a date! The second date in over 7 months! It was SO nice and the kids did great!
The week seemed to fly by and we weren't ready for it to end! It was hard to say good by. If only California and New York were a little closer :(
