Peters Family Ho down/Reunion June 2010

The day after school let out for Summer vacation, we got up at 3:45am to get to the airport for a 6am flight out to California! The destination....Oakdale. Uncle Jakie, Aunt Lisa and cousin Starlyn's house for our "white trash" ho down/reunion. Why did we call it a "white trash" ho down? Check out this picture.....

Yup, those would be trailers. There were actually three of them! Our Ca family has grown quite a bit (8 adults and 7 children)! Jake and Lisa were able to borrow two trailers and Grammie and Opa brought their own so we could all stay together. They SO gratefully gave up their house to us for the night time while the other three families stayed in a trailer at night. (SO sweet of them!) Lisa and Jake went all out to make everyone feel comfortable and at home. Thank you SO much Jakie and Lisa! What an AWESOME time we had making AWESOME memories that we will treasure forever!

Here are a few of the high points....

The girls went tubing for the first time! They had a BLAST!! Mattie even tried the jet ski with Jess!
Dylan's ready for the boat. This picture cracks me up!
He enjoyed cuddling with Grammie on the boat and taking a little snooze in the sun!

Family pictures are always a MUST when we are all together. It's pretty much impossible to get a perfect shot with all these kiddos! Here's Grammie and Opa with all seven of their grandbabies!
Here's me with my beautiful sister-in-laws.
Here are all the grand daughters....I think Jodi got the picture with the whole family on her camera.

Visiting with Great Grandparents....

Bonding with cousins......
Visiting the town we used to live in....Twain Harte. The smell of all the pine trees and the fresh mountain air was wonderful! We drove by our old house and showed Mattie where she was born. We went to our old church and saw many friends and family members that we haven't seen in years! We enjoyed an unexpected visit with Jess' cousin Rachel and Alan and their family. We even got one more visit with Great Grandma and Grandpa Peters!
Here are the girls with Rachel and Alan's daughter Julia.
What an awesome unforgettable time we had. I only wish CA and NY were a bit, well MUCH closer. We miss them so much already!
